-Camera wanders a little bit, and there is a little bit of spotlight washout but nothing to bad. The camera does wander during the beginning of Touch Me, but gets back on track during the end. Julie did a fantastic job as Ilse and brings her own spin to the role.
Spring Awakening - National Tour, 19 November 2009
Lucas A. Wells (u/s Melchior), Christy Altomare (Wendla), Taylor Trensch (Moritz), Steffi D (Ilse), Sarah Hunt (Martha), Gabby Garza (Anna), Kimiko Glenn (Thea), Justin Scott Brown (u/s Georg), Andy Mientus (Hanschen), Ben Fankhouser (Ernst), Anthony Lee Medina (Otto), Angela Reed (Adult Women), John Wojda (Adult Men)
-The first minute or so of each act are blacked out, and then there's a couple very short blackouts throughout the show, but nothing major. There's some washout in the wides, but facial expressions can still be made out most of the time. One head at the far bottom left of the screen blocks the actors' legs occasionally, but it's rarely noticeable. There are also a few heads that block most of the stairs, especially when the actors are sitting. Shot with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent as usual. There was one blooper in And Then There Were None where Taylor hit the microphone stand too hard and had to scramble to catch it before it fell; he missed a line of the song during this, but he finished strong. Includes audio only of curtain call and Anthony Lee Medina's BC/EFA speech.
Spring Awakening - National Tour, Costa Mesa, 21 November 2009 Evening

-The first couple minutes of each act are blacked out, and then there's one blackout during Latin class that lasts about a minute. There's some washout in the wides, but facial expressions can still be made out most of the time. One head blocks the far left side of the stage, especially in the second act, but it affects very little overall. A railing can be seen during scenes on the stairs, but it's small so it doesn't really block anything. Shot with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent as usual. Includes audio only of curtain call and Anthony Lee Medina's BC/EFA speech.

Deaf West Theater
Spring Awakening – Deaf West, Rosenthal Theater, LA 25/09/2014
Austin McKenzie (Melchior), Sandra Mae Frank (Wendla), Katie Boeck (Voice of Wendla), Daniel N. Durant (Moritz), Rustin Cole Sailors (Voice of Moritz), Lauren Patten (Ilse), Treshelle Edmond (Martha), Kathryn Gallagher (Voice of Martha), Ali Stroker (Anna), Amelia Hensley (Thea), Joseph Haro (Hanschen), Jimmy Bellinger (Georg), Joshua Castille (Ernst), Daniel David Stewart (Voice of Ernst), Miles Barbee (Otto), Sean Grandillo (Voice of Otto), Troy Kotsur (Adult Men), Daniel Marmion (Voice of Adult Men), Natacha Roi (Adult Women)
- A beautiful production at Deaf West Theatre in Los Angeles with a phenomenally talented cast of both hearing and deaf actors, including some from the casts of Glee and Switched at Birth. The entire show is signed by the actors, and most of the show is also spoken/sung except for a short bit during latin class and the scene between Moritz and his father just before And Then There Were None. The staging, choreography, singing, and signing are all absolutely gorgeous, and this production gives a deeper meaning to the show’s message about parents communicating with their children; this is a must see for any fan of the show.
- A nice capture overall; the biggest flaw here is the obstruction. There are a lot of heads that were very difficult to work around, but the show is still captured well and the actors are only occasionally blocked for a few seconds at a time. There are some very quick dropouts, but no major blackouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes playbill scans.
- I have this as Blu-ray also.
Spring Awakening - Deaf West, The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts 13/06/2015

- A, full show, bootleg. Fantastic capture of Deaf West's production during it's run at the Wallis Annenberg; very well captured with no obstructions, or washout, and just a few seconds of dropouts throughout the entire show, most of which happen between scenes. Great picture and sound throughout.
- 2DVD VOB version, not the MP4.

- A, full show, bootleg. Fantastic capture of Deaf West's production during it's run at the Wallis Annenberg; very well captured with no obstructions, or washout, and just a few seconds of dropouts throughout the entire show, most of which happen between scenes. Great picture and sound throughout.
